On May 1, 2024 our current administrator for the Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) and Health Savings Accounts (HSA) is changing from BPC (Benefit Planning Consultants) to Chard Snyder, a WEX Company.
Known issues:
New Chard-Snyder cards might not be working as expected on May 1, 2024.

The team at Chard-Snyder is working hard to resolve this issue as soon as possible.

If you're trying to use your card for an eligible purchase, you can submit your receipt for reimbursement to Chard-Snyder.
There may be a delay in Chard Snyder emails on May 1, 2024.

Impact:
- This change will impact the process and online location for managing your FSA and/or HSA.
- This change does not impact your benefits coverage.
Important Dates:
- April 24, 2024 - On this date a “blackout period” will begin where submitting claims, initiating transactions, spending cards and using funds in your account will become unavailable to allow for account migration. This will not apply to Health Savings Accounts.
- May 1, 2024 - On this date the blackout period will end and the transition to Chard Snyder will be complete. At this time you will need to begin using the spending card you received from Chard Snyder as well as the Chard Snyder website and/or mobile app to use the funds in your account and access your account.
What is Changing?
Flex Spending Accounts (Medical, Limited and Dependent Care)
- Accounts offered by Carle Health will migrate to Chard Snyder, a WEX Company. Any available balance will move to the account set up with Chard Snyder.
- New spending cards will be mailed out prior to May 1, 2024 that will replace the current BPC spending card.
- Spending cards will also be sent out to team members enrolled in the Dependent Care Flex Account
- Account access will change to www.chard-snyder.com.
- Mobile app access will change to the Chard Snyder app that is available in the App Store and Google Play.

Health Savings Accounts
- Health Savings Account participants will have a new account created for them at Chard Snyder.
- Funds in the account with BPC will not automatically transfer over. Participants will have the option to transfer their funds to the account created with Chard Snyder or keep the current BPC account*.
- New spending cards will be sent out for the account created with Chard Snyder. The BPC spending card can still be used as long as funds remain in the account.
- Account access will change chard-snyder.com
- Mobile app access will change to the Chard Snyder app that is available in the App Store and Google Play.
- The funds contributed into the new account with Chard Snyder will be held with WEX Health Savings Bank.

What You Should Do:
- Visit the Chard Snyder integration landing page for up-to-date Information and FAQs.
- Follow-up on the April 24-May 1 blackout period for Flexible Spending Accounts.
- It is recommended that you submit all eligible expenses before April 24, 2024. For any expenses that come up in the blackout period, be sure to keep itemized receipts so that claims and reimbursement requests can be submitted with Chard Snyder on or after May 1, 2024.
- Continue to look out for emailed communication from BPC and messaged on your BPC account regarding the transition.
- Look out for your new spending cards.
