More Information about Personal Holiday:
Full-time employees and non-shift based physicians (shift-based physicians and medical residents are not eligible) working 36 hours or more per week are eligible.
- Existing team members receive 8 hours on January 1st
- New Hires prior to July 1st receive 8 hours at hire which may be used after their 90th day of employment
- Team members who increase their status to A1 or A2 receive 8 hours on the status change effective date. The personal holiday may be used anytime after the status change if their previous service time meets that requirement.
- Must be used in full 8-hr increments
- Non-traditional Schedules – must make up for remaining hours with PTO or adjusted schedule
- No hours are carried over into the next year nor paid out at termination or status down
- Not eligible for donation or cash-out program
- May be used during approved FMLA or other approved leave of absences but cannot be used to extend the leave of absence.
- Cannot be used as an unexcused/unplanned absences not covered under an approved leave of absence
